Thanks Be To God And To You!!

Praise God for answering our prayers for Jeromy!! Tonight, we received the following email from Beth:

Steve,
Thank you and everyone else for the prayers for Rebecca's friend Jeromy. The biopsy came back non cancerous!! The doctor was 99% sure it was, but not so!! He will still have the lump removed, but the scare is gone. Thank you so much! And Praise God!! The type 1 Diabetes remains positive at this point, but hey, we can pray for that one too!! Thanks again.
Always,
Beth

Another New Prayer Request for 11/16/2005

My 15 year old daughter Rebecca has a friend, Jeromy a 16 yr old boy who found out today that he has cancer of the thyroid. There will be a biopsy tomorrow, but they are 99% sure already. She's very upset by this obviously. Jeromy and she have been friends for over 10 years and are very close. Anyway please keep Jeromy in your prayers. We are terrified for this boy and my heart is breaking for Rebecca. Thanks, we appreciate it and I know Rebecca will.

Waiting for Your Healing

The nights become so long, Father,
as I await your gift of healing.
No matter the form in which it takes,
I accept it as from Your divine heart.
I suppose the most difficult part of this task
is waiting, Father.
I am broken, and need You to mend my physical state.
Help me have purpose while I wait;
to fill the long hours with long prayer
that I otherwise would have neglected,
if health had been mine.
Let me use this time as a tool, Father,
as I offer up what You have asked of me.
Let me recognize that You consider me capable of accepting this
as well as growing with it,
or You would never have brought it into my life.
Let me be quiet and still;
aware of the sounds of day and night,
all filled with Your life.
For the time being, I must observe life;
for tomorrow, I shall live the lessons
I have learned this day,
and in this painful night.
Amen.

Prayer to Saint Peregrine

Dear Apostle of Emilia and member of the Order of Mary,
you spread the Good News by your word
and by your life witnessed to its truth.
In union with Jesus crucified,
you endured excruciating sufferings so patiently
as to be healed miraculously of cancer in the leg.
If it is agreeable to God,
obtain relief and cure for Jeromy
and keep us all from the dread cancer of sin.
Amen.

New Prayer Request for 11/16/2005

I have a 10-month-old daughter who I love dearly. My relationship with her Father, unfortunately did not work out. I wish to go for sole custody as I am more than capable of caring for her, as her Father struggles through personal issues.

I will provide the most stable environment for my baby, and am confident that with me she will come to no harm. This is a difficult situation for us all as we try and reach agreement over who shall have total and complete custody of my baby daughter. I know that my Faith in God will sustain me through this painful process and give me the strength I need to provide for my daughter.

And even though I am hurting I pray that God will help me find the man who is meant to share my life and help me support my children.

I ask that you will pray for the well being of my daughter and for healing of the pain I have been put through, and that the courts will make the right and proper decision, when it comes to my baby daughter.

Even though my finances are difficult, I pray that God will help me gain a good job with a decent wage in order to give my children all they need. May the truth be revealed and the Father of my child behave responsibly to his duty to provide child support.

From Lisa.

May I See You Today

Dearest Lord, may I see You today
and every day in the person of Your sick,
and, while nursing them, minister unto You.
Though You hide Yourself behind the unattractive disguise
of the irritable, the exacting, the unreasonable,
may I still recognise You, and say,
‘Jesus, my patient, how sweet it is to serve You.’

New Prayer Request for 11/04/2005

Brother and Sisters, please pray with me now. I ask that the Lord up above be merciful to this petition that he may grant a miraculous reconcilation for a new, blessed and promising love and life together again between Rodger and Heleen . Our quest and intentions for a Holy Matrimony has not gone very well the last two years or so, suffering many trials and tribulations that sadly, we have seperated from one another.

Lord please be merciful to us and grant this request for a blessed reunion between Rodger and Heleen that we may reunite through the promises of Jesus Christ Our Lord and Creator. Please Lord, I implore thee to allow us a second chance, may we once again walk in the light, love and promise of a life together with the wonderful blessings and promises of a Holy Matrimony, until that blessed day of kingdom come. Thank you. Thank you Lord. All prayers are greatly appreciated.
God Bless,
Heleen

Prayer to Saint Valentine

Dear Saint and Glorious Martyr,
who are so popular with lovers,
be kind to those whom we love and to us.
Teach us to love unselfishly
and to find great joy in giving.
Enable all true lovers
to bring out the best in each other.
Let them love each other in God
and God in each other.
Amen
