PRAYER FOR CAROL

I know I am being selfish, but I have been a giver all my life. I have MS, which has adversely effected my life and find myself alone and without love, I am so tired of this way of life. I cannot make ends meet and find that I am in ever increasing debt every day. Every day is getting harder than the next. The lonliness is just killing me. Please pray that if I should decide to end my life today that I will find peace with our Lord and not the devil.

Dear Carol,

it is not selfish to seek some help and consolation. Suffering is one of the loneliest journey's a soul can undertake, it takes courage and perseverence just to get by hour by hour. I do not know what area in the U.S you live in but please speak to a local Catholic Priest or Nun and ask them for help. Also check out any other resources that may come and help lift this terrible burden from your shoulders.

Some of our greatest Saints have been where you are now. One being St. Therese of Lisieux who suffered terrible agonies, so great was her pain that she requested that the Sisters who were nursing her remove the medicine cupboard from her reach. St. Therese though great in courage did not count on it to override the impulse to end her pain and anguish.

You must also not rely on your immense courage, but instead reach out to those who will help you. Speak to a local Priest and unburden to him your anguish of heart and the need for help. It is time you got back some of the love and compassion in which you have given to others.

May our Lord enfold you in His loving embrace and may your Guardian Angel comfort you in your sorrow and bring you some relief in this storm of misery and aloneness. And may our prayers also aid you in this lonely journey.

A PRAYER FOR PEACE IN TIME OF SICKNESS

O Lord, Jesus Christ, Divine Healer,

grant me peace of mind

and perfect trust in You

in my time of distress.

Give me control over my fears.

Grant that I may be cooperative

and patient with Your Will,

trusting that You will be by my side whatever suffering I have to endure.
